Today, China has developed he world's first oral vaccine for a bacterium closely linked to gastric cancer. The vaccine developed is believed to have the capabilities to prevent a Bacteria which inhabits the stomach, leading to Gastric Ulcers and Stomach cancer.
The vaccine developed by hongqing-based Third Military Medical University headed by professor Zou Quanming, took 15 years of effort. It vaccine is said to have cured 8 patients suffering from cancer throughout the research phase.
From official figures, it shows that China now has 600 million people infected with Hp and some 200,000 die from stomach cancer annually. Let's hope this research would be developed to ensure a better life for the mankind.
